Dance Pop

Dance Pop (Pop)
Dance Pop is a pop music subgenre that originated in the late 1970s to early 1980s. Dance pop borrows influences from funk, disco and contemporary R&B, creating a sound generally uptempo music intended for nightclubs with the intention of being danceable (but also totally suitable for hit radio). Think Lady Gaga, Rihanna, and Calvin Harris.
